Personality
A talented and beautiful dreamer, but one with the worst luck in the world. She's prone to being easily discouraged and depressed when things start falling apart around her and has a tendency to shut the rest of the world out when it comes to that point, ignoring even those that are doing their best to help her. tHE LAST FIVE YEARS is described as "the musical deconstruction of a couple's relationship", following the five years of Jamie Wellerstein and Cathy Hiatt's love life and telling the story of two people that are terrible for one another. The musical follows a non-linear plot with Cathy's story beginning at the end of the relationship and moving backwards and Jamie's story doing the opposite; the only time they ever perform together is when their stories meet in the middle, at their wedding. Hiatt's inspiration comes from the female lead, Cathy Hiatt.
